A tweed alternative to the classic Argyll jacket, from the name you know you can trust. Impeccable Scottish tailoring from an internationally respected producer.
Make an appearance suggesting landed gentry, with a sophisticated Balmoral tweed Argyll (or Argyle) jacket. This traditionally tailored jacket is the definitively versatile item of highland dress, alternating its formality simply by changing the accessories worn. With a flattering cut, and genuine Scottish tailoring, the tweed Argyll jacket will look great on men of all shapes and sizes. Rest assured this isn't a budget import - Balmoral Kilts and Highland Dress is respected worldwide as one of the finest producers of specialist Scottish tailoring.
How we make it:
Our Tweed Argyll jackets are made from top quality 13oz100% pure new wool tweed cloth from Scottish mills, with a single button on the front, two side vents, cuffs with 3 buttons, pocket flaps with 3 buttons, and flat cloth epaulettess.
When to wear it:
Any social event. Ceilidhs, Highland Games, or even a day on the moors. An outfit including the Tweed Argyll jacket is also perfectly acceptable for guests at weddings. Or general everyday wear at work or when out and about.
What to wear it with:
When part of a Highland Dress outfit, the Tweed Argyll jacket would normally be worn with a kilt in any tartan, and either a day or semi-dress sporran, plus a standard collar shirt, a self-coloured, silver-grey, or even tartan tie, or perhaps a bow tie or cravat. It will even look great with a Jacobite shirt. In fact Tweed Argyll jackets need not only be worn with a kilt, but can go well with a vest (waistcoat), trews, or even ordinary trousers.
Your Choices:
We suggest bone buttons as standard, but you can specify Silver Gilt or Antique Silver buttons if you prefer.

Scotweb’s MD, Dr Nicholas J Fiddes, has written a free illustrated e-book, as a gift to help kilt lovers everywhere. In simple non-technical language it covers every aspect of buying a kilt, choosing your tartan, and accessorising an outfit for every occasion.
As a Governor of the Scottish Tartans Authority, and founder of the world’s first company to market kilts on the Internet (yes, Scotweb) no one is better qualified to offer such advice. Impartial and objective, this is a personal work and is not a Scotweb publication.
Thanks so much, the jacket arrived on Monday last while I was away on business and was awaiting my return.
After a pressing to remove the shipping creases, I wore it last evening to a late Burns dinner.
It is a perfect fit and looks tailored. I am completely pleased with your product and service.

I was told by your sales representive that your charcol Argyll jackets were beautiful
and that was not a just a sales pitch they are everything she said they were.
As promosed I recieved my Jacket in time for the Christmas season.
I get nothing but compliments every time I wear it.
Even as an off the rack garment the fit is excellent.
The only problem I had was the confusion on shipping which you have taken care of on my recent order
